The project Dispatcher Control System Extended SCADA for the Central Power Control Station of ČEPS, a.s. consisted in the acquisition of an efficient and modern control and information system for dispatcher control of the transmission grid in the CR. The system Extended SCADA enables to control, monitor and analyze the actual, planned and simulated conditions of the grid in real time. It contains basic and higher superstructure functions. These functions are incorporated in the graphic user environment. The system is used to plan and control operation of the grid by using computer, telemetric and telecommunication systems.

The test operation of the dispatcher control system Extended SCADA started in July 2001; ČEPS a.s. accepted the system for permanent operation after the successful completion of guarantee tests.

The project was evaluated as successful.

The dispatcher control system Extended SCADA was commissioned in accordance with the agreed timetable, its operation achieved or exceeded the guaranteed parameters and the costs of construction were in accordance with the original budget.
